MAS has established a working network with tow truck operators in New South Wales who will efficiently attend to your vehicle in the case of your vehicle requiring to be towed. For vehicles 3 tonne and under, MAS technicians can attend to any breakdown or alternatively our company uses the services of Australia Wide Assist, a Quality Assured company that has contracts with over 1,000 tow truck and road service operators throughout Australia. They provide 24/7 service on a toll free 1800 number.

Roadside assistance for passenger car and light commercial vehicles costs $70 per year.

What does Roadside Assistance Cover?
  • The cover is valid for 8 assistance call outs per year, per vehicle
  • Each vehicle must weigh 3 tonne or less eg. Toyota Hiace vans or equivalent, all passenger cars and most 4WD vehicles
  • The Roadside Assistance program will cover you anywhere in Australia- including rural areas, 24 Hours a day, 7 days a week

    • Breakdown assistance will be given for:
  • Flat battery
  • Keys locked in vehicle
  • Failure to start
  • Run out of fuel (5lts. Fuel charged at pump price)
  • Flat tyre (Fit your spare)

    • Free towing is restricted to:
  • 15km- Excess towing chargeable on a km basis
  • One tow per breakdown
  • Smash towing is not covered

    • Point of Return
  • Return must be to MAS. However, if the tow exceeds 20km, you can nominate the closest service centre if desired
  • After hours towing requires your vehicle to be towed to MAS and secured at the owners risk. Alternatively, your vehicle can be towed to secure storage for delivery to MAS asap. However, the customer will be liable for the second tow

    • Cover and termination
  • This roadside service is only valid for the vehicle detailed on the membership card
    • It is transferable to a new owner but not from vehicle to vehicle
  • The membership card must be presented to receive the above benefits otherwise normal charges will apply
